Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe was started by me, Nicola, when I couldn’t find my perfect accessories for my own wedding day.
Tradition states that the bride should place a lucky silver sixpence in her left shoe to bring her a wealth of happiness throughout married life. I love these traditions that surround a wedding day and I love to keep these alive through thoughtful little touches in my work. A single blue pearl embellishment for your something blue or a delicate lace collar restored into a headband motif for your something old. I like creating the heirlooms of the future.
Ordering is easy. You are welcome to buy from the current or past collections through my contact page. I also have an ETSY shop you can purchase from. Everything is sent beautifully packaged by recorded delivery to your home. I live and work in Manchester but can send to anywhere in the world. Any questions or for a quotation please feel free to drop me an email. To see where else you can buy my work please see my stockists page.
Bespoke pieces are also available on request and very popular with brides. This starts with a consultation where we chat through your wedding ideas. You might have an old piece of your grandmother’s jewellery hiding away at home that you want to use on the day. Bring it along and we can look at ways to incorporate it. If not there will be plenty of sparkly and pearly surprises for us to choose from in my workbox. Keep your fabric from any dress alterations as I can often work using that. Your piece will be so unique! To arrange a bespoke appointment please contact me
My Parties are a great idea for you hen do. I can stage a fabulously crafty and vintage style party for you where you and your group of hens can learn to craft your own glamourous and unique headpieces.
